i'm just thinking after doing this for the past 6 years or so that maybe it's over run it's course and it's time to stop. And stop a lot of other things as well, i'm tired of passing on things that take me time and energy to dig up to have one or two people, tops, even notice they were sent. And then have the exact same things sent a little later the same day and have it noticed by so many. Just think I've reached burn out, don't giave a rats ass anymore level.
sadly, my real life involves work and Bert and being used by my children. which sums up to not having a life other than this. I don't do people out here well.
duh-old age moment-and thank you for always being here and saying something. i may rarely comment back but i do appreciate it
Hugs you in appreciation of what you Do do, which is quite a bit I feel. I am empathetic to your situation. I stopped posting in a group I was very involved with as a mod when the group owner just faded into oblivion. Actually I carried the group myself for more than a year but lack of response from the rest of the members made me feel my efforts were not noticed/appreciated. I know it can be quite time consuming and then you feel "for what? No one is even looking at this stuff I've just spent hours tracking down and posting!". Sigh - hugs you again.
Real life is a killer, isn't it!?! I just got off a LONG stretch of nights with mandated overtime and so I am once again playing "catch-up" with my mail. Oddly enough I DID notice the lack of "Nightlies" as I go thru my mail backwards. There were only 2. This and the one err... following this. I was a bit mixed up for a sec there as I am reading my mail and your posts in reverse order.(Sleep deprevation -ain't it grand!)
I haven't been in this group too long, but I have to tell you it is one of the better groups I've participated in. As the LOTR fever has diminished all across the net, seeing yours so active is just such a delight. It really is!
As an aside, I made the Chicken Idaho recipe yesterday and was it ever yummy!!!. My VERY fussy kids liked it. I prepped it before I went to bed in the morning and threw it in the oven when I woke up. turned out great!
Anyways, I feel for ya sister! I know where you're coming from with your comments cause I've been there myself. You do what you need to do to satisfy YOURSELF. You deserve a life too! *gives one last hug*

Date: 2008-11-11 01:04 am (UTC)I'm so glad that recipe worked. I can't try most of these so I have to hope they come out as good as they look.
