Aug. 26th, 2008 08:05 amwas going to start going through posts and realised it's time to get ready to go. will get that going when i can. if there's something you think i should see, please leave me a note here.
and since i'm here, let me give a brief rundown of the last few days.
Saturday got up feeling fine, sent shopping with the idea of hitting the state fair late afternoon/evening. shopping went okay but when i started dragging stuff in i started feeling bad, and it just got worse. by the time everything was put away i went to bed. i've only gotten up to pee and drink water since. oh, and chuck up. not the greatest weight loss plan. i've had two bites of toast bert made me this morning and i'm done.
linda called sunday, told her how ill i was and she told me i needed to buck up and go in on monday, she was leaving at 10:30. And i swear i did try, face plant convinced me not to go. they dealt with it, had no choice.
now i'm sure you're wondering about her attitude, i would be. she's had more than her share of tragedies this summer. today she's in court with boy #2 and will be again on Wed for vandalizim and a few other things. friday someone she's vaguely related to was murdered in the same apartment as her cousin was a couple years ago, gang related. person was cousin of her brother Marcos' live in. which brought back all the horror of the earlier murder. (she had to identify the body that time) her youngest brother johnny is in jail on a probation hold, caught drunk driving. and the big one? Marcos (see brother above) killed Polly, said live in. Linda found the body. she's been in and out of police stations ever since being questioned, and yesterday was to go through the courts to get their kids back. she has legal custody should anything happen to the parents. i can't imagine how she's holding up.
and to finish, thank you Alex, you have no idea what hearing form you did for me. Michelle, you have a most calming voice and was really needed, even if i did have to go that fast. Heidi, thank you for caring and sending notes. Cat, Love you. And my darling daughter jeannie? thanks so much for the offer of taking me in to the walkin clinic after you got off work yesterday then calling to say you were almost home and if i was still sick today you'd see what you could do. makes me feel very cared for and special. hell, my boss the ass called to check on me, you never did, just to whine about your life.
