Last night was Jewell's graduation from Apollo College. She doesn't actually finish until the first part of May, but they let her walk with the class since she won't be able to this fall.
The ceremony was long, but very nice. A little more organized in how they present the students would have been a good thing, but overall nice. Matt took the far away photos, I did the up close ones. Jeannie suggested getting Bobby and Laura with her, I wanted to get all three of my kids and then forgot. Was a little rattled by that point.
Bert did well, we stopped and fed him on the way down-he was excited to get fast food, meds were handled pretty well, got home terribly late for him and he had an attitude when we got home. I did too. Tired and no food, and he was just tired and cranky.
People there were beyond amazing. Not in a good way. We'd saved seats for Bobby and crew, then he and Lo were the only ones that showed up. So telling people for 45 minutes while they ate dinner that the seats were saved made us the bad people. The couple that ended up in the spare seats were rude and nasty the entire time. At one point there were comments from Jean and I about class and how glad she was that she was raised a better person than them. Then came the bint who parked her wheelchair bound person next to Bert, who was behind us, then walked between him and the seats, stomping on him as she went. And was bent that we were upset. Thankfully he wasn't hurt, but for gods sake people-WHEELCHAIR. And others that saw no problem leaning on him or pushing him or-I'm just appalled at how people don’t see that.
Okay, enough ranting about things.
She looked adorable, the sound system was enough to be heard at the back of a large auditorium, and I have photos.
She wasn’t aware until we saw the program that her cousin on Neal’s side was in the school-different programs and classes. They all showed up, refused to even look at her, including her grandmother. How sad. For them. But at the end when she was standing with us waiting for the crowds to thin so we could take Bert out they walked past and Neal hung at the back and gave her a thumbs up. From the man who evidently told her she wouldn’t succeed if she went back to Jeannie’s. She showed class and didn’t show him one of her fingers. She did lean over and hug Bert, though.
Anyway, no word on Sneaks, get puppy boy at 1:00, and on to some photos

Now the REALLY cute photos. This is my new baby. Click to enlarge.
He's sweet, well behaved, wonderful. The breeder said he's the last of 11, has never gone to anyone that's come out before and normally hides. He greeted me at the door, flopped in my lap, rolled on his back for scratches, and kissed me lots. And when it was time to go he was ready too. He slept in the back seat while we went to the store and drove home. He's on the sofa now napping. Very mellow sweet little guy.
Poll up in a for for names, since I'm stuck.
