Okay, so news from Dr's today.
He's still at 12.5 so we have to go back to anemia clinic next week. This is good since he's up higher, and bad because it's making us go back and forth for monitoring every week.
He has his new leg today. We kept telling Bill that the thing jams and he can't unlatch, but it won't do it for him. Today the tech that built the leg came in and couldn't get the thing off. Since they take the metal part off and attach it to the new socket, he replaced the latching system. Then he gave me a card with his cell phone on it so I can call him if it happens again. And he stressed that's at any time anywhere. Including late nights or whatever. I'm thrilled.
Talked to Dr. Cabrera today. It's her first day back after having a baby boy. I have to collect from Bert in the morning and take it in for testing, then see her Thursday. She agrees that if everything we've done so far isn't clearing up the rash then there's something else going on. She also wants to know why he's losing so much weight. My answer for that is less junk and more healthy foods. He's eating 6 small meals a day and no extras. (admittedly sometimes one of those meals is a piece of fresh fruit or a large bowl of sugar free pudding)
So, overall, Bert is pretty good. And with any luck we'll have an answer for the rash and itching by the end of the week.
