Dear people who live in the Norhtern Hemisphere,
Fall is upon us, winter is on the way. Today our temperature here in Ontario, Oregon was 30 degrees. By 10am it's only up to 32. It's cold, freezing. And while we are all lucky enough to be sitting in warm buildings, have decent food to eat, and cars to get us from point a to point b, not all our fellow man or woman is as fortunate as we are.
So please, as the weather goes from cold to deadly, remember those less fortunate. Next time you run into the dollar store grab a pair or two or ten extra gloves, they're a buck. How about some extra socks, or stocking caps? And that trip you made through the drive thru? Grab something extra from the dollar menu. And hand these things to the next homeless person you see. Because you could be the one person, with the one thing, that makes the difference to that persons survival.
Thank you,
A concerned citizen of this planet
