I have been posting photos of the Lord of the Rings cast on a very regular basis, in here and on various communities, since the films came out. This isn't a new thing, it's an obsession. I like the actors and actresses, I think it was one of the best visually put together casts ever. And I think they're all very competent actors and actresses. I own a large collection of every one of their films I can get. True, I'm not a huge fan of the hobbit actors, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
As to the subject of their personal sex lives. I don't know who they do or do not have a sexual or personal relationship with. I don't know who were friends on set or who's friendships continued after filming ended. I've heard stories from people that were in that area and saw them, I've read interviews, and I've seen photos of them together. Some seem rather uncomfortable together, some seem very personally attached, but I get this from reading the body language in the photos. Remembering that these are actors, it may all be for a camera pointed in their direction and in reality they can't stand each other. I don't know. I wasn't there, I didn't see anything, and I certainly wasn't privy to or observe anyone having sex with anyone.
My opinions are just that, my opinions. I don't push these on anyone else, and I certainly don't post my nightly photos with comments of OMG! They're standing in the same room so obviously they sleep together! I post the things and that's it. I do periodically comment on others posts in some comms, because they were kind enough to take the time to find and share something.
And the point of all this?
Yesterday a dear sweet friend posted a cropped photo of Orlando in a comm. You can still see Viggo's shoulder in the photo. It's one we've all seen before, and even the clip from the interview that the photo came from. Orlando is grinning like a loon in this. (it's where he has the green bandana over the wig and had been petting and poking at Viggo and goofing off) My comment was to the effect that maybe that smile was because of the ranger sitting next to him. Remembering they are goofing off together. That didn't say anything other than that. I honestly believe the smile is because he's got a few minutes to screw around with a friend and relax. That's it. I picked up a wandering troll, because there isn't any other term for this person. Who went on a rant about that simple comment.
Last night I went back to nightly posting. I've not been real regular about it lately, my personal life has been hectic of late. I chose to post some photos of Viggo and Orlando together and to share them at a couple comms. I made no comment about them being a couple, I just posted the photos. Someone commented about the look on Viggo's face in one of them. Now if you saw them (if not, go back a couple posts to see them) you know that they are standing touching, and in the one he's got a very sly look while Orlando is beaming. My reply back, as I know the commenter, was that I should have reversed the last two, that possibly O was whispering sweet nothings in V's ear and what his plans were for the night. I did not say that it had anything with the two of them being together. It can just as easily mean that he's planning on picking up a girl in the corner and what he's going to do to her, or that he's going to let John Rhys bang him through the mattress. It was harmless as far as these two went.
The troll showed up there also and jumped on this and that we're making assumptions about Orlando's sex life. Seriously, these are photos by professional photographers taken at a premiere. Nothing more. The only one making comments on his sexuality are the troll.
So, to end this, because we know I'll go into major rant mode very soon, I posted a few photos from a time when everyone still had some contact. I will be continuing to post photos of the sort. I'm not commenting on what happened with them or not, I'm posting photos, period. My opinions on what they did in private are my opinions only, I don't know what they actually did. But I doubt the rest of the series I have set up will be posted anywhere but here and carols_stuff, because I choose to not deal with this idiot that's blowing something as simple as a photo into something it isn't.
