Day two of that three day thing I mentioned last night. Today is my mothers birthday.
Mom was born in 1929 in Vancouver British Columbia. Her family had gone to visit relatives and my grandmother went into labor. Mom was the only one born in a hospital, the boys were both born at home. There were complications and they almost lost my grandmother. My grandfather was so thrilled, all he'd wanted was a little girl and he finally had one. When grandma was well enough, the family returned to Oakland California, where Mom grew up and went to school. She met Dad when she was 24 and they were married a week later. She never learned to drive and was a full time mother.
I have no photos of her in her last years, I lost them a year ago.
