carols_stuffBeen one of those nights. No nightlies today, sorry. But I have things all set through the weekend. And the new theme is loaded, as well as the things for Viggo Awareness Month.
Bert updates-
I stopped at the hospital this morning to check on him and tell him good morning. Dr Foote (see photo at bottom) was there and we talked a bit. Then I took off for work. Little latter I get a call from Dr Cabrera, who says she left me a message at home but called the cell also. He was being transfered today, she'll see him in a week, Dr F in two. And if I need anything or have any questions to call her.
LONG day at work, Doc is still an idiot. Or worse.
Stopped at PCCC after work to see Bert and talk to whoever the nurse was. He was very off, just not himself when I got there. Went down to see who the nurse was and I can't tell you how pleased I am. The nurse that took such wonderful care of mom when she was there (on the live full time side) will be his nurse every evening. Came out and gave me a big hug and we had a long talk about Bert. We went together to see him and he seems to have the idea I'd left him there to stay. We got it through to him it's only a couple of weeks to get him up and moving again. Made all the difference. And then hearing I'm bringing his dog tomorrow did it, he lit up. OHOHOH!!! and he has his first temp leg! They put it on before he left the hospital. It's attached to a new cast, and will be changed to the next level before he's released to go home.
Stopped at KMart on the way home and he has new sweats to work in. Came home and packed shirts and other things he needs in with them. So he has stuff to wear and do now. And they have a TV in all the rooms now and cable, unlike when Mom lived there. And the view out his window looks into a large park area.
Other than that, I'm done for tonight. See you all tomorrow
