Ingredients:
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion, minced
1/2 cup mushrooms, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cups cooked short-grain brown rice, this rice is stickier, so the burger holds together better on the grill
1/4 cup ground oats
Cooking Directions:
Heat the oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and onions and sauté until the mushrooms are dark and the onion is golden, about 6-7 minutes. Prepare an outside grill with an oiled rack set 6 in. above the heat source. On a gas grill, set the heat to medium. Combine the mushrooms and onions with the remaining ingredients. Form the mixture into 6 patties. Grill the burgers, turning once, for a total of 6-7 minutes until the outside is golden brown.
