Hates when you get the "Your JUST a mom?" or "Do you work?" Uhhh yes, I AM A MOM! That makes me an alarm clock, cook, maid, waitress, teacher, nurse, handyman, security officer, photographer, counselor, chauffeur, event planner, personal assistant, ATM & I scare away the boogie man. I don't get holidays, sick pay or days off. I work through the DAY & NIGHT. I am on call 24/7 for the rest of my life. And that's just with my first job.... BEING A MOM!! I may not be anything to you but I am everything to my children! Re-post if you are a PROUD MOM!!!!♥
I have an issue with that. Not because it's not true, but because the attitude seems to be that we're better than you because we stay home.
I'd like to point out to these women that I've worked 8-10-12 hour days at least 5 days a week while my children were growing up. And I still did all those things you did. And I did it without a husband to help me. My children grew up knowing they were loved. They also grew up with a very strong work ethic. They grew up independent and capable adults.
So while it's great that you are able to stay home, that doesn't make you better. That means you're privileged. Try living a working mothers life for awhile. You'll appreciate the freedom you currently have.
