Much as I carp about Doc, and there's more than enough to do so about, he sometimes comes through. He called before he got in today to ask how things went last night and how my dog was. He was kind and sympathetic and hugged me when he got in while i sniffled.
Linda finally asked around noon, and had a simple oh, sorry and that was it.
Bert has finally been struck by the fact he's gone and is handling that in his own way.
The cats are still looking for him, especially Inigo. Lou keeps getting on me, last night to lick the tears from my cheeks. She's been very attached.
I had calls today from my rock, Michelle. Both to see how I am and to fill me in on her mom. (hope she's feeling a lot better tonight, honey). She talked me through a lot last night, and I still can't ever say enough about how wonderful and blessed I am to have her.
A call from Cyd, who just always seems to know when I need her. Thank you.
And a call from the man formerly referred to as the cute guy. I'm amazed at that, but it was nice of him.
I haven't heard from my kids to check on me, or really for anything other than a call this morning from Jeannie about something else. And Matt needing a ride tonight. That's it.
So again, my people through this amazing little box were the ones there. Why am I not surprised?
