I know it's only September but if I'm going to do this I need to start much earlier this year. To find out what it's all about visit the community profile here!

I am hoping that there will be enough volunteers and that everyone will only need to contribute one post. If too few people step forward then depending on numbers I might ask for a second contribution, or abandon the idea.

There are a handful of rules on the community profile page, none have been changed, but can I just remind everyone that you can post drabbles, ficlets, poems, icons, banners, LOTR Christmas pictures, wallpapers - all of those would be acceptable just as long as there is an LOTR connection and hopefully a Christmassy feel. No photos of naked men, re-posts of old stuff, other people's work. (As you all well know, I have NO problem with naked men per se, but I just don't think graphic images of that nature are quite right for this, even with red bows or pretty lights in strategic places. *grin* NC-17 fic is most welcome, just not pictures. My philosophy on that is pretty much that someone can choose whether or not they read an NC-17 fic but an image is right in their face and I'd prefer not to have warnings before the cut. My comm, my rules.)

I have posted an entry in the comm with a list of dates - please go there to volunteer so that I have all the names in one place and I don't miss anyone! If you volunteer for specific dates, I will assume the first on the list is your preferred date. If you prefer to give me a week or a spread of dates and let me choose that would be even better!

If you are moderator of a comm that is willing to promote this to the LOTR fandom, please feel free to re-post, or comment on the volunteer post and let me know I may post in your comm!
